Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster- An Unforgettable Tradition

“The sinking of the Titanic must have been a miracle to the lobsters in the kitchen.”

As a treat after camp, my family and I traveled to a frequently visited favorite called Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster (36 Main Street, South Freeport, Maine 04078, http://m.harraseeketlunchandlobster.com/). Every summer after camp we make the short trek to Freeport, Maine to enjoy the sweet lobster and the sweet views from Harraseeket.  After camp I am always sad to leave, and the lobsters at Harraseeket always brighten my day a little bit.

A Pristine View

A Canopy as blue as the Ocean

When we arrived at Harraseeket, we quickly hopped in line to place our orders and then be sure we could secure a seat in the already crowded restaurant.

When we finally found a seat, we began ordered our feast from the sea.

The Main Menu

The Lobster Pound Menu

We ordered, three succulent, tender, sweet lobsters that were erupting with warm juices that dripped down our necks. The lobsters were served with a small cup of warm, melted golden butter for dipping purposes.

A Good Tradition

We also got a plate filled with enormous, chewy steamers that my mom chowed down on while we were eating our delectable lobsters.

A Steamy day for Steamers

In addition to those sea critters, we also order tiny, mouth-watering shrimp with a crunchy, perfectly browned outside.

Shrimpy Shrimps

The shrimp were fantastic and were so small you could eat them like popcorn. We also got a plate of enormous, crisp, flavorful onion rings. The rings were a perfect side for the meal because they were delicious but not too filling.

O my Gosh!

For dessert we got the best of the best, three humongous puffy whoopie pies with smooth, velvety sweet creme in the inside.

Always a Treat!

We get whoopie pies every year and they always have the same deliciousness. They are absolutely incredible.

The best part of eating at Harraseeket is being on the shiny, glistening Oceanside. The views are pristine and were the perfect thing to look at while eating outside. Usually lobsters are very expensive but at Harraseeket they are reasonably priced. The only thing you can’t put a price on is the atmosphere. The service at the restaurant is quick and friendly at the same time. The food is brought out with blinding speeds and the servers are very nice. Overall I would definitely recommend Harraseeket to anyone in the Freeport area, their lobster is to die for! I would rate it, ZZZZ- 4 Z’s- Yum!
